After testing products from Optimal Health Systems, L.L.C., we found 8 products we allege to violate Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Optimal Health Systems.
NOTICE I
On February 26 2025, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Optimal Health, L.L.C.
In this action, ERC alleges that 8 specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Optimal Health, contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:

OHS Optimal Health Systems Opti-Nutrients By Dr. Brimhall Opti-Female -Lead
Opti-Nutrient Formulas By Dr. Brimhall Opti-Para Whole Food, Pre-digested -Lead
Optimal Health Systems OHS Optimal Liver Kidney - Lead
OHS Optimal Health Systems Optimal Complete Nutrition + - Lead
OHS Optimal Health Systems Whole Food Based Products Optimal Defense For Complete Immune Support - Lead
SETTLEMENT
A settlement was reached on June 23, 2025. In full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, Optimal Health Systems, L.L.C., shall make a total payment of $32,500.00.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Beginning on the Effective Date, Optimal Health Systems shall be permanently enjoined from manufacturing for sale in the State of California, Distributing into the State of California, or directly selling in the State of California, any Covered Product which exposes a person to a “Daily Lead Exposure Level” of more than 0.5 micrograms of lead per day unless it meets the warning requirements under Section 3.2.
