Double Wood
After testing products from Double Wood LLC, individually and dba Double Wood Supplements, we found 4 products we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to lead contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Double Wood Supplements.
NOTICE I
On February 19, 2025, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Double Wood Supplements.
In this action, ERC alleges that four specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Double Wood contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:
Double Wood Supplements Astragalus 1000 mg Per Serving - Lead
Double Wood Supplements Marshmallow Root 1000mg Per Serving - Lead
Double Wood Supplements Psyllium Husk 1,500mg Per Serving - Lead
Double Wood Supplements Bee Pollen * Super Food Bee Pollen Granules - Lead
Settlement
A settlement was reached on May 15, 2025. In full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, Double Wood LLC, individually and dba Double Wood Supplements shall pay $30,000.00 in total.
Injunctive Relief:
Beginning on the Effective Date, Double Wood Supplements shall be enjoined from“Distributing into the State of California,” directly selling in the State of California, or indirectly selling in the State of California through authorized third-party retailers/sellers any Covered Product which exposes a person to a “Daily Lead Exposure Level” of more than 0.5 micrograms of lead per day unless it meets the warning requirements under Section 3.2.
