After testing products sold by Amazon.com, Inc., Amazon.com Services LLC, and Amazon Technologies, Inc., we discovered 1 product that we allege violates Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Amazon.
Notice of Violation I
On April 7, 2026, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against Amazon.com, Inc., Amazon.com Services LLC, Amazon Technologies, Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that 1 specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Amazon.com contains lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels that require a Proposition 65 warning.
