After testing products sold by Target Brands, Inc. Target Corporation, we discovered 1 product which we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Target.
Notice of Violation I
On March 31, 2026, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against Target Brands, Inc., Target Corporation.
In this action, ERC alleges that 1 specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Target contains lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels that require a Proposition 65 warning.
