Essiac Products
After testing some products from Essiac Products we found one product we alleged to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to lead amounts. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Essiac Products.

On July 25, 2019, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Essiac From Canada LLC/Canadian Health Products Int’l Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that one specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Essiac Products contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to lead at a level requiring a Proposition 65 warning.

Due to a name change, On December 23, 2019, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against 2698852 Ontario Inc./11425757 Canada Inc. previously known as Essiac From Canada LLC/Canadian Health Products Int’l Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that one specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Essiac Canada contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to lead at a level requiring a Proposition 65 warning.

ERC filed a Civil Complaint on November 15, 2019.
settlement
A settlement was reached on January 15, 2020. In full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, Essiac Canada shall make a total payment of $60,000.00 to ERC.
