After testing products from Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports, we discovered 5 products that we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports.
Notice of Violation I
On May 6, 2026, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against
Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports.
In this action, ERC alleges that 5 specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports, contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels that require a Proposition 65 warning.
