After testing products from Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports, we discovered 14 products that we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 regarding heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports.
Notice of Violation I
On April 15, 2026, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against
Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports.
In this action, ERC alleges that 9 specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Performance Nutrition Formulators, LLC, individually and dba VMI Sports, contain lead and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogens and reproductive toxins, exposing consumers to levels that require a Proposition 65 warning.
