After testing products from Heart & Soil Supplements LLC. we discovered 1 product that we allege to violate Proposition 65 in regards to heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Heart & Soil Supplements LLC.
Notice of Violation I
On November 7, 2025, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Heart & Soil Supplements LLC.
In this action, ERC alleges that one specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Heart & Soil Supplements LLC, contains Perfluorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS), Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA), chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as a human toxin, and exposes consumers at a level requiring a Proposition 65 warning. Perfluorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS) and Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA) are alleged in the product listed below.
The product is:
1. Heart & Soil Pure American Liver 500 MG Each 180 Capsules- Perfluorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS), Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA)
Settlement
A settlement was reached on August 13, 2026 in full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, Heart & Soil Supplements LLC, shall pay $55,000 in satisfaction of civil penalties, costs, and legal fees.
Injunctive Relief:
Beginning on the Compliance Date, Heart & Soil Supplements shall not manufacture for sale in the State of California, distribute into the State of California, or directly sell in the State of California any product that exposes a person to a quantifiable level of PFOS or PFNA that can be reliably detected using industry-standard testing methods, unless the product meets the warning requirements set forth in Section 3.2.
