Fuel for Fire
After testing products from Fuel For Fire, Inc., we found 5 products we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Fuel For Fire, Inc.
NOTICE I
On January 19, 2024, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Fuel For Fire, Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that two specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Fuel For Fire, Inc., contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:
Fuel For Fire 10g Plant Protein Fruit Smoothie Chocolate Strawberry - Lead
Fuel For Fire 10g Protein Fruit Smoothie Banana Cocoa - Lead
NOTICE II
On January 26, 2024, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Fuel For Fire, Inc.
In this action, ERC alleges that three specific products, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Fuel For Fire, Inc., contain PFAS chemicals, chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogens and reproductive toxins, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:

SETTLEMENT
A settlement was reached on January 3, 2025. In full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, New Momentum Media, Inc., individually and dba Live Conscious Scale Media Inc., individually and dba Live Conscious, shall make a total payment of $60,000.00
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Beginning on the Effective Date, Fuel for Fire shall be permanently enjoined from manufacturing for sale in the State of California, "Distributing into the State of California," or directly selling in the State of California, any Covered Product which exposes a person to a "Daily Lead Exposure Level" of more than 0.5 micrograms of lead per day and/or any detectible level of PFOA per day unless it meets the warning requirements under Section 3.2.
