Eimele

After testing products from The Hut.com Limited, LLC, individually and dba Eimele The Hut.com Limited, individually and dba Eimele, we discovered 2 products we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Eimele.

Notice of Violation I

On November 7, 2025, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against The Hut.com Limited, LLC, individually and dba Eimele The Hut.com Limited, individually and dba Eimele.

In this action, ERC alleges that 2 specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Eimele, contain lead and/or perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA), a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.

The products under investigation are:

  1. Eimele Shine Greens Plant-Based Wellbeing - Lead

  2. Eimele Essential Rainbow Phytonutrients from every colour – Lead, Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA)


Settlement

A settlement was reached on 04/15/2026. In full satisfaction of all potential civil penalties, additional settlement payments, attorney's fees, and costs, Don't Quit, LLC, shall make a total payment of $30,000.00.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Beginning sixty (60) days after the Effective Date (the “Compliance Date”), Eimele shall be permanently enjoined from manufacturing for sale in the State of California, “Distributing into the State of California,” or directly selling in the State of California, Covered Products which expose a person to a “Daily Lead Exposure Level” of more than 0.5 micrograms of lead per day unless it meets the warning requirements under Section 3.2.
