After testing products from Brandless, we found 5 products we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Onward Partners, LLC, individually and dba Brandless.

On September 29, 2025, the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Onward Partners, LLC, individually and dba Brandless.
In this action, ERC alleges that 5 specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Brandless, contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:
Plant Protein Vanilla Flavor - Lead
Plant Protein Chocolate Flavor - Lead
Colon Gentle Cleanse - Lead
Advanced 100% Whey Protein Isolate Vanilla Flavor - Lead
Advanced 100% Whey Protein Isolate Chocolate Flavor - Lead
