Legendary Foods
After testing products from Legendary Foods we discovered one product we allege to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to heavy metal contamination. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and Legendary Foods.
Notice of Violation I
On May 13, 2026 the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against Legendary Foods.
In this action, ERC alleges that 4 specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Legendary Foods ., individually contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
The products under investigation are:
Legendary Foods Caramel Sticky Bun Flavored Protein Sweet Roll
Legendary Foods Chocolate Flavored Protein Sweet Roll
Legendary Foods Protein Pasta Mac & Cheese Flavored
Legendary Foods Chocolate Cake Flavored Protein Pastry
Notice of Violation II
On August 18, 2026 the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against Legendary Foods.
In this action, ERC alleges that 2 specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Legendary Foods ., individually contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.

Legendary Foods Protein Donuts Pink Sprinkle Flavored
Retail Notice of Violation (GNC)
On August 18, 2026 the Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65 against GNC Holdings LLA and GNC Live Well LLC.
In this action, ERC alleges that 3 specific product manufactured, distributed, or sold by Legendary Foods ., individually contain lead, a chemical listed under Proposition 65 as carcinogenic and a reproductive toxin, exposing consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning.
