After testing some products from EXO., we found four products we alleged to be in violation of Proposition 65 in regards to lead amounts. Below is the timeline of events of the case between ERC and EXO.
On May 7, 2020, Environmental Research Center filed a Notice of Violation of California Law Proposition 65, against Aspire Food Group USA, Inc., dba EXO.
In this action, ERC alleges that four specific products manufactured, distributed, or sold by EXO contain lead or cadmium, chemicals listed under Proposition 65 as a carcinogen and reproductive toxin, and expose consumers to levels requiring a Proposition 65 warning. Another single product contains cadmium, but not lead (listed below in bold).
These products are:
- EXO Cricket Protein Bar Blueberry Vanilla
- EXO Cricket Protein Bar Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
- EXO Whole Roasted Crickets Crispy Taco
- EXO Cricket Protein Bar Banana Bread
